Paul McGuinness, manager of U2, used his talk at the Music Matters conference in Hong Kong to call on ISPs to “embrace the future.” That future apparently includes handing revenues over to the music business, but leaves out ad-supported music.

Benn Jordan (AKA The Flashbulb), a recording artist who uploaded a torrent of his own new album before his fans did, not only outlines the statistics of the donations returning the generocity, but compares them to CD sales after ditching his previous record label deals.
