A Japanese band called Denki Groove has used some musical instrument apps on jailbroken phones & ipods to do a fantastic version of the song “Smoky Bubbles”. The instruments include virtual guitar (with strumming!), bass, keyword and drums. Video Included.

Soundtrack? is a new recurring feature in which we tell you more about the music heard in each episode of Best Week Ever. This week, were talkin about Partie Traumatic, the debut album from the adorable indie rock band Black Kids.

After a successful career in the music world as the front-girl of Garbage, singer Shirley Manson has now made the leap to the acting world, having appeared in the second season premiere of The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The rock band Cake has adopted solar panels to record their upcoming album with 100% solar power.

Led Zeppelin could be on the brink of a 10th studio album after musicians Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham said they had been working on new songs.

RIP!
@6. Two guys that were 19 years old from Mashpee Mass died on the same day a few days ago in Iraq. One by small arms fire, the other by roadside bomb. Maybe we should never speak again..ever. To die is different than anyone supposed and luckier….

The free Rockin’ the Riverfront concert hit a scary note Friday evening when one of the guitarists for opening band Spitting Nickels collapsed on stage mid-way through the group’s set. According to the band’s website, the guitarist’s name is Tom Gunne. The band was opening up for classic rock headliners Blue Oyster Cult.
Medics and police jumped on stage immediately and began administering first aid. A woman in the front row asked for everyone's prayers. The members of the large crowd was quiet and polite — aside from a few shouts of encouraging words…
