A Japanese band called Denki Groove has used some musical instrument apps on jailbroken phones & ipods to do a fantastic version of the song “Smoky Bubbles”. The instruments include virtual guitar (with strumming!), bass, keyword and drums. Video Included.

Worried you might be called on to do a jazz show when you’re out fishing? These crazy instruments are miniature trumpets made for portability. They play just like real trumpets and can cost as much as $1500.

Someone has created a mutant hurdy gurdy out of 4 Furby toys (as if a hurdy gurdy isn’t mutant enough already). It’s got all sorts of glitching controls, sequencing and the ability to control external synthesizers. Includes video.
1. Mute 2. Loop Hold (repeats a short loop of audio) 3. Loop momentary (repeats a loop once) 4. Switch the sequence between the screws and gaps between the screws 5. Crash - makes the Furby go crazy 6. Reset
