They aren’t the only people that play the damn guitar. In fact, there are several artists who, on any given night, can burn any given venue to the GROUND using nothing more then their guitar shredding abilities.
Not so with Neil Young. When you see him stomp on that big ass red contraption that sleeps at his feet during every show, understand this, he built that bitch! He wired the circuits, he fashioned the metal casing, he probably sploshed the red…

After word dropped that Rickrolling phenomenon Rick Astley had been included in MTV Europe’s laughable Best Act Ever category, to be decided by online polling and awarded at the network’s gala in November, some resourceful individuals wasted little time in scripting stratagems designed to stuff the virtual ballot box to secure his victory.
Vote4Rick: Online voting is a bit of a joke, if people running them don't take any steps to prevent this kind of tomfoolery. MTV recently posted a poll asking if Rick Astley deserves his nomination, and got nearly 20 million positive responses…

Rickroll the world
I noticed today that while using RickVoter I have been receiving a lot higher frequency of Server Unavailable responses today than I was yesterday. The MTV voting website mentions that votes can also be submitted through their mobile website at…

Check out two exclusive clips from the upcoming movie version of the hit video game “Max Payne” starring Mark Wahlberg. Say hi to your mother for me.
The editting in that first clip sucks… from when the guy gets the watch to what follows. If this is supposed to sell the movie, I'm pretty sure we've got a piece of shit on our hands. FOX SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!

Foo Fighters joined the ranks of Ann & Nancy Wilson of Heart this morning by not-so-discreetly asking Sen. John McCain to stop using their music to rally his troops. We’d like to call on the McCain camp to do the right thing and pick a more appropriate Foo Fighters tune, such as “The Pretender” or these seven others…
Gotta hand it to ya, fella, your campaign was left for dead, you championed an extremely unpopular military maneuver in Iraq that's often called The. Surge.? and now you're one heartbeat away from making Sarah Palin the President of…

In a preamble to an official statement issued by the Foo Fighters, they talk of McCain using a number of unauthorized theme songs? during his presidential bid, and mention how no permission was sought from the band, its management, record label or publisher.?
"This isn't the first time the McCain campaign has used a song without making any attempt to get approval or permission from the artist. It's frustrating and infuriating that someone who claims to speak for the American people…

Sure he sings, but what he really wants to do is direct.
If you haven’t heard this song get it and listen to it right now. This is Waits as his absolute best, growling over a sour violin—in fact, the whole cabaret-tinged album is amazing. Two more things about the…

Any music fan worth his or her salt needs to read Lester Bangs. Thats because unlike most rock? critics, Bangs was first and foremost a fan. And a passionate, music is my whole life? kind of fan at that. Objectivity was not in his vocabulary and politeness can fuck off because Bangs told it like it was. Crude, rude, and unapologetic.
(Originally printed in Creem, 1976) - Now, as any faithful reader of this magazine is probably aware, David Bowie has never been my hero. I always thought all that Ziggy Stardust homo-from-Adelbaran business was a crock of…
