You might recall a few weeks ago, when we brought you video of a small boy singing his little, confused heart out to Mariah Careys Touch My Body.? (The video has now been thankfully taken down.) The first word that came to mind was NAMBLA; the second, Inappropriate.? Which led me to wonder: How many other inappropriate covers are out there?
BONUS: Ever wanted to know what the Touch My Body music video would have looked like if a 13-year-old desperate for her Daddy’s love made a music video to it? I encourage you not to click here to find out. (No, really,…

Roughly 2,500 years ago, Pythagoras observed that objects, such as the anvils he purportedly studied, produced harmonious sounds while vibrating at frequencies in simple whole-number ratios. More complex ratios gave rise to more dissonant sounds, which indicated that human beings were unconsciously sensitive to mathematical relationships [...]
For a thousand years, Western musicians have endeavored to satisfy two fundamental constraints in their compositions. The first is that melodies should, in general, move by short distances. When played on a piano, melodies typically move to nearby…

Flickr photo pool Member Aud1073cH shares picks of his handcrafted pick collection - . Handmade guitar picks. Most are made from old plastic cards (gift cards, credit cards, hotel room keys, etc.) Other materials are cardboard, “Handi Snacks” stick, CD, Toshiba laptop, and plastic packaging.
I trace with an ultra fine tip Sharpie pen, then cut out with scissors (for most materials) then I sand the edges smooth with cheap emory boards (those sandpaper sticks for fingernails).

A rocking AC/DC video with commentary by yours truly…
My friend, Christy, sent this video out in a bulletin a little earlier today and, you guessed it, I just had to post it here. This song is one I desperately wish AC/DC would bring back to the show lineup for the next tour (if or when that ever…

During a southern California radio show Friday morning, the L.A Police Chief William Bratton had some choice words for Britney Spears.
What we need is for Britney Spears to stay home instead of traipsing all over town. That would solve the problem. We dont need additional laws?Ive got laws coming out my ears to deal with this issue. What you have is several young women…

I recently saw Back to School again and had totally forgotten about the Kurt Vonnegut cameo. It brought back the scene in Breakfast of Champions in which Kilgore Trout asks out loud, “what is the meaning of life?” The alleyway graffiti responds “To be the eyes, the ears, and the consciousness of the creator of the universe, you fool”
To be the eyes, the ears, and the consciousness of the creator of the universe, you fool.
