Nothing sounds better live than music with real passion. If you’re in London this Sunday, this could definitely be one to catch.
Los Desterrados (The Exiles) are a London-based six-piece playing in the Sephardic music tradition that originated in medieval Spain’s Jewish communities and was the ancestor of flamenco. The intense, passionate folk style has been dragged into the modern era by acts such as Mor Kabasi, Yasmin Levy and Los Des themselves. (Their 2006 album Tu was a scintillating success on the global music scene.) The band take to the stage tonight to play Balkan- and Gypsy-infused tracks from just-released third album.

What makes Extreme Arm Wrestling different is that the competitor’s arm-wrestling hand is taped to his opponent’s. The free hand? That’s for socking the other guy in the face as many times as possible.

Ah, graduation. The culmination of 4 years of blood, sweat and beers. You made it! Unfortunately, now is when the hard part starts - transitioning from fun-loving college student to real-life,…

Aussie rockers AC/DC have given iTunes the thumbs down for the release of their new album, Black Ice.

You never know where you are gonna find a political scoop, but Lynn Zinser at her NYT hockey “Slapshot” blog just posted that Sarah Palin, in her much-ballyhooed appearance dropping the puck at the Philly Flyers’ opener, was greeted by “resounding (almost deafening) boos from the Flyers crowd.”
Are you thick, jones? That long, droning hum of “boooooooooooooo…..” is obvious to anyone who has ever been to any sporting event. Not even the music that was turned up even louder once the booing started could drown them out…

They aren’t the only people that play the damn guitar. In fact, there are several artists who, on any given night, can burn any given venue to the GROUND using nothing more then their guitar shredding abilities.
Not so with Neil Young. When you see him stomp on that big ass red contraption that sleeps at his feet during every show, understand this, he built that bitch! He wired the circuits, he fashioned the metal casing, he probably sploshed the red…

If you thought that whole spiel Walmart gave about ditching DRM sounded too good to be true, you'd be right this time around. The world's largest retailer has decided to maintain its digital rights management servers for the present time based on feedback from [its] customers.? No joke'that's what they said. Who exactly are these customers?
When Walmart made a special effort to remind us why DRM'd music should always be avoided by shutting down their authentication servers, the response must have been deafening. The world's largest retailer has decided to maintain its digital…

After word dropped that Rickrolling phenomenon Rick Astley had been included in MTV Europe’s laughable Best Act Ever category, to be decided by online polling and awarded at the network’s gala in November, some resourceful individuals wasted little time in scripting stratagems designed to stuff the virtual ballot box to secure his victory.
Vote4Rick: Online voting is a bit of a joke, if people running them don't take any steps to prevent this kind of tomfoolery. MTV recently posted a poll asking if Rick Astley deserves his nomination, and got nearly 20 million positive responses…

I noticed today that while using RickVoter I have been receiving a lot higher frequency of Server Unavailable responses today than I was yesterday. The MTV voting website mentions that votes can also be submitted through their mobile website at…
